Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Select the appropriate tie: Choose a tie based on the size and number of items to be bundled.
- Thread the tail: Insert the pointed tail end of the cable tie through the locking head.
- Tighten securely: Pull the tail firmly until the items are snug. The integrated pawl within the head will engage with the serrations on the tail, creating a permanent lock.
- Trim excess: Use a sharp tool (like cutters or a knife) to carefully trim the excess tail as close to the head as possible to prevent snagging.
Compatibility:
These cable ties are compatible with a wide range of materials including plastics, metals, wood, and fabrics. They are suitable for use with electrical cables, hoses, pipes, and general-purpose bundling.
Care:
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to maintain material integrity.
- Cleaning: These ties are generally maintenance-free. If they become dirty, they can be wiped with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Environment: While rated for outdoor use, prolonged exposure to UV radiation can eventually degrade Nylon 66. For permanent outdoor applications requiring maximum longevity, consider UV-resistant variants if available.
