These pliers are made of steel and do not have insulated handles for electrical safety; they should not be used on live circuits.
HRC stands for Rockwell Hardness scale C. A rating of 60-62 indicates a very high degree of hardness, ensuring the teeth stay sharp and durable over time.
They feature an anti-corrosion phosphate finish, which is highly resistant to rust, but they should still be wiped dry after exposure to water.
Yes, the pliers are manufactured in accordance with ISO 8976 standards.
A box joint provides better stability and resistance to side-to-side twisting compared to standard lap joints, making it more durable under high pressure.
Clear any debris from the adjustment track and apply a light machine oil to the pivot pin.
Ensure the object is positioned deep within the jaws and that you are maintaining consistent squeezing pressure; for very delicate surfaces, consider wrapping the material in a cloth.
These pliers are ready to use out of the box. To maintain the tool's performance, ensure the slip-joint tracks remain clear of heavy grit or metal shavings. Periodically apply a drop of lightweight machine oil to the pivot point to keep the opening mechanism smooth. While the phosphate finish is corrosion-resistant, wipe the tool dry after use in wet environments to prevent surface oxidation. These pliers conform to ISO 8976 standards, ensuring they meet professional requirements for safety and durability.
