This variety maintains a small size and does not self-seed, ensuring it stays where you want it. Throughout summer, it is covered in dense clusters of blue flowers that attract bees and butterflies, making it suitable for wildlife or cottage gardens. This hardy and resilient shrub is fuss-free and thrives in most conditions, tolerating poor soil, dry or exposed sites, as well as more sheltered spots. Plant in garden borders in any moist, well-drained soil, in full sun or partial shade. For patio containers, use a soil-based compost like John Innes No.3, feeding and watering regularly. Border-planted Buddlejas require only occasional attention. In spring, prune plants back to a low framework of 3-4 buds from the base and deadhead faded flowers to extend the blooming season. Expected height and spread is up to 60cm when fully established. Supplied as 1 x Buddleja ‘Blue Chip’ Plant in a 3 Litre Pot.
