Voltarol Pain-eze Emulgel is for the local symptomatic relief of pain and inflammation caused by rheumatic, muscular pain, sprains, strains and... Active ingredients: Diclofenac diethylammonium. Suitable for adults and children aged 14 years and over. It contains the active substance diclofenac which belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is specially formulated for rubbing into the skin and is used to relieve pain and reduce inflammation and swelling in painful conditions affecting the joints and muscles. Voltarol Back and Muscle Pain Relief 1.16% Gel can be used to treat muscle and joint injuries (e.g. sprains, strains, bruises, backache, sports injuries) and tendonitis (e.g. tennis elbow). The Emulgel technology helps the gel to penetrate deeply into the skin to enhance delivery of diclofenac to the point of pain. The gel works by blocking production of some of the body’s chemicals that cause swelling (inflammation), pain and tenderness. The active ingredient in Voltarol Back and Muscle Pain Relief Gel with a No Mess Applicator, diclofenac, has been used as a pain reliever for 30 years in the UK. The Emulgel formula provides both the benefits of a moisturising cream and a cooling gel.
