Product Information
Full details
The CarPlan Winter Essentials Kit is designed for daily commuters and drivers living in cold climates who need a reliable, all-in-one solution for maintaining clear visibility during harsh winter weather. This four-piece kit provides essential tools to quickly remove frost, ice, and interior condensation, ensuring a safer start to your morning drive. While it offers excellent value for basic maintenance, it is important to note that the included fluids are meant for surface-level visibility and clearing, and do not replace the need for routine vehicle mechanical winterization.

FAQs
Can I use the de-icer on my paintwork?
The de-icer is formulated specifically for glass. It is best to avoid direct, prolonged contact with vehicle paintwork.
Is the screenwash pre-mixed?
The included 500ml screenwash is formulated for immediate use, helping to remove winter traffic film effectively.
Can I use the scraper on plastic trims?
While the scraper is designed for glass, be careful when using it near plastic trims or rubber seals to avoid scratching or damage.
How long will the 300ml de-icer last?
Usage depends on the frequency of frost and the size of your vehicle, but it is intended to last through several weeks of typical winter morning usage.
Is this kit suitable for all car models?
Yes, the tools and liquids are designed for universal use across all standard passenger vehicles.
Troubleshooting
De-icer leaves streaks on the windscreen
Ensure the glass surface is wiped clean with a dry cloth or the wipers after the ice has melted; streaks are often caused by residual slush.
Demister pad is not absorbing moisture well
The pad is likely saturated with oils from the glass; wash the pad with mild soap and water, then let it air dry completely before using it again.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Compatibility: The products in this kit are universal and safe for use on all standard vehicle windscreens and windows.
- Storage: Store the fluids in an upright position in a cool, dry area of your boot or glove compartment to prevent leaks. Avoid storing in extreme direct sunlight.
- Maintenance: Rinse the demister pad periodically with warm water if it becomes saturated with debris or grease to maintain its absorption efficiency. Ensure the lid on the screenwash and de-icer are tightened firmly after each use to prevent evaporation or spills.
