Setup, Compatibility & Care
To keep your Checkpoint ALR 5 running at its best, prioritize regular maintenance of the drivetrain and hydraulic system. Since the bike is tubeless-ready, initial setup involves applying rim tape, installing valves, and adding sealant to the included tires to maximize puncture protection. Ensure that all frame mounting bolts are tightened to the recommended torque specifications to prevent damage to the aluminium threads. For storage, keep the bike indoors and clean the frame after muddy rides to prevent debris buildup in the hidden cable entry points. Periodically check for brake pad wear and perform a bleed service on the hydraulic lines annually for optimal stopping performance.
