This guide is for anyone who needs reliable jump leads for boosting vehicles. The Toolzone 1200 Amp, 5-meter jump leads provide a strong and secure connection, making it easier to start a vehicle with a dead battery. A key caveat to remember is to always connect the leads in the correct order to avoid damage.

Connect the positive (red) clamp to the positive terminal of the dead battery, then connect the other red clamp to the positive terminal of the working battery. Next, connect the negative (black) clamp to the negative terminal of the working battery, and finally, connect the other black clamp to a grounded, unpainted metal surface on the stalled vehicle, away from the battery.
If the leads spark excessively, disconnect them immediately and recheck the connections. Make sure that the clamps are securely attached to the terminals. Ensure the correct order has been followed.
Yes, provided the motorcycle has a 12V battery and the amperage rating is sufficient. Ensure that the clips fit securely on the terminals.
Allow the working vehicle to run for at least 5 minutes to allow the dead battery to receive a charge.
Store the jump leads in the provided zip case in a dry place to prevent corrosion and damage to the cables.
Once the stalled vehicle has started, carefully disconnect the jump leads in reverse order of how they were connected. Start with the negative clamp on the stalled vehicle, then the negative clamp on the working vehicle, then the positive clamp on the working vehicle, and finally, the positive clamp on the stalled vehicle. Let the vehicle run for a while to recharge the battery.
Always wear eye protection. Ensure the vehicles are not touching. Avoid leaning over the batteries when making connections. Never connect the negative lead to the negative terminal of the dead battery.
If the jump leads are too short, reposition the vehicles closer together or consider using longer jump leads. Do not stretch the leads or force the connections.
Double-check the connections, ensuring they are secure and in the correct order. Make sure the working vehicle is running and has been running for a few minutes before attempting to start the vehicle with the dead battery. The clips should have good contact with the terminals. If the problem persists, the battery may be beyond help, or there might be an issue with the vehicle’s starter or electrical system.
Ensure the leads are connected in the correct order. If the sparking is excessive, disconnect the leads and re-examine the connections. Make sure that the clips are making a good connection with the terminals. If the problem persists, there might be a short circuit or other electrical issue in one of the vehicles.
