Setup, Compatibility & Care
Sowing Indoors:
- Fill small pots (7–8cm) with seed compost, level, and firm.
- Water well using a fine rose.
- Sow seeds individually about 1cm deep.
- Place in a propagator at 15–20°C or cover pots with cling film in a warm room.
Growing On:
- Once shoots appear, remove cling film.
- Keep seedlings in a light spot, but avoid direct sun.
- Grow on at a minimum temperature of 10°C.
Planting Out:
- Gradually acclimate plants to outdoor conditions over 2–3 weeks.
- Plant out after the risk of frost has passed.
- Water well until plants are established.
Sowing Outdoors:
- Sow seeds in pre-watered soil at a depth of 1.5cm in their final flowering positions.
- Keep soil moist until seedlings are established.
- Thin out seedlings as required.
Aftercare:
- Water well, especially during warm or dry periods.
- Feed plants regularly once flowering begins.
Compatibility: These seeds are compatible with standard seed composts and general garden soil, provided it is well-drained. They are best suited for sunny locations.
