Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Installation is designed to be simple. Choose a suitable mounting location and mark the desired screw positions. Drill pilot holes appropriate for the included expansion plugs (if mounting on drywall or masonry) or directly into wood. Insert the expansion plugs if needed, then secure the cleat hook using the provided screws. Ensure the hook is firmly attached before applying load.
Compatibility: These hooks are compatible with most standard cords, ropes, and lines used for blinds, curtains, washing lines, and general utility purposes. They can be mounted on a variety of surfaces including wood, drywall, masonry, and boat structures, provided appropriate fixings are used.
Care: To maintain the appearance and function of the solid brass, clean the hooks periodically with a soft, damp cloth. For tougher grime, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by a rinse and thorough drying. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which can scratch the brass surface. Due to its rust-resistant nature, no special protective treatment is typically required.
