Setup, Compatibility & Care
Proper care begins with pre-washing to account for potential shrinkage. Machine wash the fabric at 30 degrees Celsius using a gentle cycle to preserve the integrity of the sherpa texture. Avoid high-heat drying, as extreme temperatures can damage the synthetic fibers and lead to matting. When cutting, use sharp rotary cutters or scissors and be prepared for some shedding along the raw edges. For sewing, a standard universal needle (size 80/12 or 90/14) is usually sufficient, though a walking foot is highly recommended to manage the thickness and prevent tunneling. Keep pins close together when basting to ensure the fabric remains stable while you feed it through the machine.
