Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets EN Gastrointestinal is a specialized wet food formulated for cats of all ages suffering from gastrointestinal disorders or sensitive digestion. It offers the key benefit of high digestibility to reduce gut strain and improve nutrient absorption, though it is important to note that this is a clinical diet and must be used exclusively under the guidance of your veterinarian.

This food is formulated specifically for therapeutic use. It should only be fed to the cat for whom it was prescribed.
The duration depends on your cat's diagnosis. Your veterinarian will determine when it is safe to transition back to a regular diet.
Yes, this formula is complete and balanced for all life stages, making it suitable for both kittens and adult cats.
You should only mix this with other foods if specifically directed by your veterinarian to do so.
St/Ox indicates that the food has been tested to reduce the risk of forming struvite and calcium oxalate crystals in the urinary tract.
Try warming the food slightly to room temperature or mixing in a small amount of warm water to enhance the aroma.
Slow down the transition process by mixing a smaller percentage of the new food with the old food for a longer duration.
Ensure that the cat is not consuming any other treats or table scraps, as this will interfere with the clinical diet's efficacy.
To begin feeding this diet, it is recommended to transition your cat slowly over a period of 5-7 days, mixing the new food with their previous diet to avoid further digestive upset. Always provide fresh, clean water, as hydration is critical for cats on gastrointestinal diets. Store any unused portions of the wet food in the refrigerator in an airtight container for no longer than 24 hours. Always consult your veterinarian regarding the specific feeding duration, as they may want to schedule follow-up blood work or physical exams to monitor your cat’s progress and adjust the diet as the clinical signs subside.
