Each crate measures 715mm × 400mm × 860mm and forms part of a double-depth system. One crate provides 233.64 litres of storage with a 95% void ratio. Four crates create a 1m³ soakaway. With a 24.2 t/m² vertical load rating and 18 t/m² lateral load, these crates are suitable for garden and pedestrian installations. Crates do not require structural clips; cable ties may be used to hold units in position during assembly, with the side fill providing the final structural stability. Non-woven geotextile membrane is included and must be wrapped around all outward-facing surfaces to prevent soil ingress and maintain long-term performance. 110mm or 160mm pipework connects via the 160mm entry points. For 110mm pipe, insert approximately 150mm into the crate after cutting a small cross in the membrane, peeling it back and securing it tightly around the pipe to prevent particle ingress. A rubber mallet is supplied with 1m³ sets for easy assembly. For improved soakaway performance and reduced silt entry, a pre-filter such as the SiltGuard Silt Trap is recommended.
