How heavy is the Gear Clock?

The clock weighs 6 kg.

What are the dimensions of the clock?

The dimensions are L10 x W60 x H60 cm.

Is the cream color a glossy or matte finish?

The product information does not specify the exact finish (glossy or matte) of the cream color. It is described as hand-finished, suggesting a potentially nuanced texture.

How do I clean the visible gears?

Gently dust the gears with a soft brush or use compressed air. Avoid using liquids or abrasive materials.

Can I hang this clock on any type of wall?

Yes, but due to its weight (6 kg), you must use appropriate wall anchors and screws suitable for your specific wall type (e.g., drywall, plaster, brick) to ensure secure mounting.

Does the movement of the gears affect the clock's accuracy?

The visible gears are part of the clock's mechanism. While designed for accuracy, extreme vibrations or improper mounting could potentially affect performance. Ensure secure mounting and a fresh battery for optimal timekeeping.

Troubleshooting

Clock is not ticking or hands are not moving.

Ensure a fresh AA battery is correctly inserted with the proper polarity. Check if the battery contacts are clean. Verify that the clock is not obstructed and the gears can move freely.

Clock is losing or gaining time.

Replace the battery with a new one. Ensure the clock is mounted securely and is not tilted, which could affect the gear movement. For persistent issues, contact customer support.

Clock fell off the wall.

Immediately check the clock for damage. Re-mount the clock using stronger, appropriate fixings for your wall type, ensuring it can safely support the 6 kg weight.

Visible gears are dusty or obstructed.

Gently dust the gears with a soft brush or a can of compressed air. Avoid using liquids directly on the gears.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Mounting: Due to its 6 kg weight, it is crucial to mount the clock securely. Use appropriate wall anchors and screws suitable for your wall type (e.g., drywall, plaster, brick). Ensure the mounting point can support the weight.
  2. Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment, typically located on the back of the clock. Insert one AA battery, observing the correct polarity (+/-).
