FAQs
Is this compost safe for organic growing?
Yes, it is Soil Association approved and contains no synthetic chemical fertilizers.
Can I use this for my flower beds?
While designed for fruit and vegetables, the high nutrient content makes it suitable for many heavy-feeding flowering plants.
How long does the fertilizer last?
The compost contains natural nutrients that typically last for up to three months after planting.
Is it suitable for seeds?
It is recommended to use a dedicated seed and cutting compost for tiny plug plants or seeds, as this mix is formulated for established plant growth.
What is the delivery method?
The product is delivered on a pallet via a tail lift service; ensure you have a suitable space for the delivery.
Is this product vegan?
Yes, it is 100% vegan-friendly and contains no animal-derived ingredients.
Troubleshooting
Plants are showing stunted growth in early stages
If used for very young seedlings, the nutrient concentration may be too high. Ensure the medium is used for established plants.
Water sitting on the surface
Peat-free composts can sometimes become hydrophobic when dry. Gently break up the surface crust and water gradually to rehydrate the medium.
Pros and Cons

Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Preparation: Ensure your planting containers have adequate drainage holes to prevent waterlogging.
- Application: Fill your raised beds or pots directly with the compost. It is ready to use straight from the bag.
- Planting: Place your vegetable or fruit plant into the medium, ensuring the soil level matches the original root ball depth.
- Seedlings: While excellent for maturity, use a specialized, finer 'seed and cutting' mix for starting delicate seeds, then transplant them into this compost once they develop true leaves.
- Delivery Note: Since the product is delivered on a pallet via tail lift, ensure your driveway or drop-off point is flat, hard-standing ground capable of supporting the weight of a pallet truck.
