The Russell Hobbs Chilluxe Ice Cream Maker is designed for home cooks who want to craft professional-quality frozen desserts, ranging from gelato to sorbet, with minimal effort. Its key strength lies in its 800W motor and versatile auto-functions, making it an excellent choice for consistent, texture-rich results. While it offers impressive power and ease of use, prospective owners should note that the unit occupies a vertical footprint and requires pre-planning for the freezing process of the included tubs.

Yes, for the machine to properly churn and freeze your ingredients, the 500ml tubs must be frozen for 24 hours beforehand.
No, the main base unit contains the motor and electronics. Only the removable parts like the tubs and lids are dishwasher safe.
The re-spin function is designed to take a finished cycle and churn it slightly more to achieve a smoother, creamier texture.
The dimensions are 307mm deep, 385mm high, and 173mm wide.
Absolutely; the sorbet and frozen yogurt settings work perfectly with dairy-free alternatives like almond, soy, or coconut milk bases.
Ensure the tubs were frozen for at least 24 hours and that your freezer is at the appropriate temperature.
The mixture may be too thick or dense; try removing some volume or checking if the paddle is obstructed.
Use the re-spin option to continue churning or transfer the mixture to the lidded tub and place in the freezer for an additional hour.
Before your first use, wash all removable parts—specifically the tubs, lids, and paddle—in warm, soapy water or the dishwasher. For the machine to operate, the tubs must be pre-frozen completely, typically requiring 24 hours in a standard freezer set to its coldest temperature. Ensure the machine is placed on a flat, stable surface. To care for the unit, never use abrasive scouring pads on the mixing tubs, as this can degrade the surface and affect future freezing performance. Simply wipe the base unit with a damp cloth if it becomes dusty or experiences minor spills.
