Full details

The FloPlast WS40B ABS Solvent Weld Reducer is a black fitting designed for use with FloPlast's solvent weld waste systems. It provides an efficient solution for wastewater and foul discharge drainage. This reducer is compatible with solvent cement for joining products and is made from durable materials, making it both lightweight and strong while being a cost-effective option. Features: - Designed for use with FloPlast's solvent weld waste systems - Compatible with solvent cement for joining products - Made from durable materials Benefits: - Provides an efficient solution for wastewater and foul discharge drainage - Lightweight yet strong design - Cost-effective option. This waste reducer is used when a 40mm waste pipe is connected into a 50mm pipe, usually with the 40mm pipe dropping into the 50mm pipe below it running towards the soil pipe. It is usually used in the branch of a 50mm tee or in one end of a 50mm coupling. Our solvent weld waste is manufactured in the UK to BS EN 1455 and is kitemarked. To make a solvent weld joint, first ensure that the outer wall of the pipe and the inner wall of the fitting are both clean and free from grit or swarf. Apply SC250 solvent cement to both surfaces. Push the pipe fully into the fitting and give it a twist to ensure that full contact has been made. Clean off any excess solvent with a damp cloth and leave for 5 minutes to set. The installation should be left for 12 hours before testing. Solvent weld joints are permanent - they cannot be demounted once the joint has been made. When using solvent cement, always work in a well ventilated area and keep the cement away from heat sources or naked flames. Avoid any contact with skin - if contact does occur then wash thoroughly with soap and water.
