Setup, Compatibility & Care
To begin, ensure your smart home hub is updated to the latest firmware to support Zigbee or Thread connectivity. Mount the sensor on a wall or ceiling with a clear line of sight to the desired area, ensuring there are no large metallic objects blocking the sensor range. For long-term maintenance, regularly check the battery levels within your home automation app to prevent unexpected outages. If the sensor performance degrades, ensure the front lens is clean from dust and that no large vibration sources, such as heavy machinery or fans, are placed directly adjacent to the device, as these can occasionally cause phantom detection.
