While the ceramic is robust, we recommend hand washing with warm soapy water to preserve the finish of the chalkboard and the integrity of the lid.
This product is designed for traditional chalk. Liquid markers may be difficult to remove and could potentially damage the chalkboard coating.
The canister stands at 13 cm in height with a diameter and width of 11 cm.
Yes, each canister is supplied with one 8 cm piece of white chalk.
No, this canister is designed for dry food storage only and is not suitable for liquids.
The lid is designed to be a secure fit to help maintain the freshness of dry ingredients, though it is not rated as a vacuum-sealed container.
Ensure the surface is completely dry and clean before writing; wipe away excess dust with a dry cloth.
Check the rim of the canister and the underside of the lid for any debris or sticky residue that might be preventing a flush fit.
Use a soft sponge with mild dish detergent and warm water to gently wipe away spills; avoid soaking the unit.
Setting up your canister is simple: wash it thoroughly with warm, soapy water and towel dry before the first use. Once dry, use the provided white chalk to label your canister clearly. To maintain the finish, avoid using harsh abrasive sponges that could scratch the chalkboard surface or the ceramic glaze. Periodically wipe the chalkboard area with a damp cloth if you wish to change labels, and ensure the lid is fully seated after each use to maintain the airtight seal.
