The Lezyne Road Drive 500 is an ideal companion for road cyclists and commuters who demand high-visibility lighting in a sleek, compact form factor. Delivering a reliable 500 lumens and boasting a maximum 55-hour runtime, it enhances safety during both bright daylight and low-light conditions. While it is built to survive harsh weather with its IPX7 rating, users should be aware that achieving the maximum 55-hour runtime requires using specific low-output modes.

Yes, it is tested to IPX7 standards, meaning it is protected against water immersion in heavy rain or road spray.
Yes, the unit features a user-replaceable 1100 mAh battery, which helps extend the overall lifespan of the device.
The light includes a quarter-turn mount and GoPro-style adapter, but you may need an additional helmet-specific base depending on your helmet design.
Charging times depend on the power source, but using a standard USB-C charger will typically fully replenish the battery in a few hours.
It is not recommended to operate the light while charging as it may compromise the waterproof seal of the USB-C port.
Ensure the light is fully charged via USB-C and that the battery is properly seated in the housing.
Check if the light is being used in a high-lumen mode; switch to a lower output or flash mode to increase runtime.
Inspect the USB-C port for debris or moisture and ensure the cable is firmly connected to a reliable power source.
To install, secure the mount to your handlebar using the quarter-turn interface, then slide the Road Drive 500 until it clicks firmly into place. Ensure the charging port cover is pressed securely after every charge to maintain the IPX7 waterproof seal. If you are using a GoPro-style mount, utilize the provided adapter to align the light centrally under your head unit for a cleaner cockpit. Clean the aluminum housing with a damp cloth; avoid harsh chemicals that might degrade the finish. If the battery performance wanes after heavy use, the 1100 mAh cell can be accessed and replaced per the manufacturer's maintenance guide to keep the light functioning like new.
