Setup, Compatibility & Care
When receiving your 2L pot, water the plant thoroughly before transplanting. Use an ericaceous (acidic) compost if planting in a container, as standard multipurpose compost may be too alkaline. For ground planting, check your soil type; if your soil is heavy or chalky, dig a large hole and replace the native soil with a mix of ericaceous compost. Position the plant in a semi-shaded area that receives some morning sun but is protected from scorching afternoon heat. Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged; use rainwater if possible, as tap water in hard water areas can gradually raise the soil pH over time.
