Product Information

Full details

The Thinking Anglers Camfleck Single Rod Sleeve is designed for mobile anglers who require lightweight, essential protection for their 10ft two-piece rods during transit. Featuring a durable PVC-backed nylon construction and a protective quilted interior, it offers a secure fit for rods with 50mm butt rings, though its minimalist design does not provide the rigid impact resistance of a hard-case holdall.

FAQs

Will this fit a 3-piece rod?

No, this sleeve is specifically engineered for 10ft two-piece rods.

Does it have a shoulder strap?

No, this is a minimalist sleeve designed for protection and storage, not carrying via a strap.

Can I store a rod with a big pit reel attached?

The sleeve is designed to accommodate the reel section, but large big pit reels may fit snugly depending on the specific rod handle length.

Is the material waterproof?

It is made from water-resistant PVC-backed nylon, which handles light rain well, though it is not fully submersible.

How do I clean the internal padding?

Gently wipe the interior with a damp sponge and allow it to air dry fully in a ventilated area.

Troubleshooting

The sleeve feels too tight around the rod guides.

Ensure the rod is inserted with the guides facing the flat side of the sleeve; check that no line is tangled around the guides.

The elastic strap is loose during transport.

Adjust the tensioner on the elastic strap to tighten the fit around the rod blank.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

Slide the rod tip into the sleeve first, ensuring it seats firmly into the Tip Top reinforced bottom section.
Pull the sleeve up over the handle and reel section.
Secure the drawstring located above the reel to close the opening.
Fasten the adjustable elastic strap around the mid-section to ensure a snug fit during transit.

Compatibility:

This sleeve is strictly for 10ft two-piece rods. Ensure your rod ringing is 50mm or smaller to avoid damage to the guides.

Care:

Clean the exterior with a damp cloth and mild soap if it becomes muddy. Air dry completely before storage to prevent mold or odors, especially if the sleeve gets wet during rain.
