It offers a perfect blend of a secure private sleeping area on the upper level and a flexible, interactive ground-floor pen, making it ideal for pets that enjoy both active exploration and quiet rest. FAQs
Can this hutch stay outside all year round?
Yes, it is constructed from weather-resistant plastic; however, in extreme temperatures or harsh winters, it is recommended to place the hutch in a garage or shed for added protection.
Is the roof completely waterproof?
The roof design is intended for outdoor use and provides protection against elements, but it should be placed in a sheltered spot to prevent heavy driving rain from entering the sides.
How often should I clean the trays?
Spot cleaning should be done daily to maintain hygiene, with a full scrub-down of the removable trays at least once a week.
Are the dimensions inclusive of the ramp?
The external dimensions are 108 x 64 x 113 cm, which accounts for the main body of the structure.
Can I leave the ramp doors open permanently?
The ramp doors are designed for independent access, but you should only leave them open when your garden is securely fenced or the area is predator-proof.
Troubleshooting
Pet is reluctant to use the ladder
Ensure the ladder is properly locked into place. You can encourage usage by placing small treats on the ladder steps for the first few days.
Difficulty sliding out the trays
Check if there is debris or bedding buildup in the rails. Clear the track with a brush to ensure smooth operation.
Door latch feels stiff
Check for outdoor dust or debris in the hinge and lock mechanism. Clean with a damp cloth and ensure it is fully aligned.
