Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and ensure all fittings and assembly instructions are present.
- Assemble Panels: Follow the provided step-by-step instructions to assemble the MDF panels. This typically involves connecting the side panels to the top and front panels using the supplied screws or dowels.
- Position Cover: Once assembled, place the radiator cover over your radiator to check for proper fit and alignment. Ensure there is adequate space around the radiator for heat circulation.
- Mark Wall Fixings: With the cover in its desired position, accurately mark the points on the wall where the invisible wall mounting fittings will be secured.
- Install Wall Mounts: Drill pilot holes at the marked positions (using appropriate drill bits for your wall type) and securely attach the wall mounting brackets. Ensure they are level and firm.
- Secure Cover: Carefully lift the assembled radiator cover and align it with the installed wall mounts, pushing it back until it securely engages. Confirm the cover is flush against the wall and stable.
Compatibility
This Jack Stonehouse radiator cover is specifically designed for small-sized radiators. It is crucial to measure your radiator's width, height, and depth before purchasing to ensure it fits comfortably within the cover's internal dimensions. The black finish and vertical line design are highly versatile and compatible with a wide array of interior decor styles, from modern to traditional.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning: To maintain its pristine appearance, wipe the cover regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the painted finish.
- Dusting: Use a soft duster or a microfiber cloth to remove dust from the vertical grill slats and all surfaces.
- Moisture Protection: As the cover is constructed from MDF, it is important to avoid excessive moisture or direct water exposure. Promptly wipe away any spills to prevent swelling or damage to the material.
- Heat Exposure: While designed for radiator use, avoid placing extremely hot items directly on the top surface without a protective coaster or mat.
- Periodic Checks: Periodically inspect the wall fittings to ensure the cover remains securely mounted and stable. Tighten screws if necessary.
