FAQs
Can I iron the Velosso Riva Swag?
Yes, you can use a cool iron setting to remove wrinkles, though we recommend testing a small, inconspicuous area first.
Is this sold as a pair?
This product is typically sold as a single swag unit; please check your specific order quantity if you need to cover multiple windows.
Will the yellow color fade in direct sunlight?
While the material is durable, prolonged exposure to harsh, direct afternoon sunlight can cause color fading in any fabric over time.
Does the swag provide blackout capabilities?
No, this swag is designed for decorative purposes and is not intended to block out light or provide privacy.
Can I use this in a bathroom?
Yes, the machine-washable fabric makes it suitable for most rooms, though ensure it is not placed where it will be directly splashed with water.
Troubleshooting
The fabric appears wrinkled after washing
Use a garment steamer or a cool iron to gently smooth out the fabric while it is still slightly damp.
The swag does not fit the rod width
Ensure you are using a rod that matches the diameter of the slot top; if the rod is too thick, consider using a thinner tension rod.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Simple slot top installation requires no extra hardware
- Easy to clean with machine-washable fabric
- Brightens rooms with a cheerful yellow color palette
- Highly versatile for layering with blinds or curtains
Cons
- Small dimensions (112 x 99cm) offer limited privacy on their own
- Requires a separate curtain rod for hanging
- Color may vary slightly depending on room lighting
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install, simply slide your curtain rod through the slot top opening at the top of the swag. Ensure your rod is secured firmly before draping the fabric. This item is compatible with standard decorative rods, tension rods, and bistro rods. For care, it is recommended to wash in cool water on a gentle cycle. Avoid bleaching to preserve the vibrant yellow pigment, and tumble dry on a low setting or hang to air dry to prevent shrinkage.
