FAQs
What is the primary advantage of the 3-meter length?
The 3-meter length provides ample space for a significant catch, ensuring fish remain healthy and secure without overcrowding.
Is this keepnet suitable for saltwater fishing?
While designed for commercial fishing, it is primarily intended for freshwater environments. Prolonged exposure to saltwater may affect the materials over time. Thorough rinsing with fresh water after any use is recommended.
How do I clean the keepnet effectively?
Rinse the keepnet thoroughly with fresh water after each use and allow it to air dry completely. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
Can I attach this keepnet to a standard landing net pole?
Yes, it is designed to be compatible with standard landing poles and banksticks commonly used in angling.
What makes this keepnet suitable for commercial fishing?
It is built with durable materials to withstand the demands of frequent use in commercial fisheries and designed to securely hold fish.
Does the black color have any functional benefit?
Yes, the black color helps to reduce visibility in the water, which can help keep fish calmer.
Troubleshooting
Keepnet mesh snagging easily.
Handle the keepnet with care, especially around sharp objects. If a small snag occurs, try to gently work the mesh back into place rather than pulling forcefully. Consider a mesh repair kit for larger tears.
Keepnet feels heavy when full.
This is normal due to the weight of the fish and water. Ensure your landing pole or bankstick setup is sturdy enough to support the weight. Empty the keepnet periodically if managing very large catches to reduce strain.
Mesh retaining odors.
Rinse thoroughly with fresh water immediately after use and allow to air dry completely. For stubborn odors, a mild, fish-safe aquatic cleaner can be used sparingly, followed by a thorough freshwater rinse.
