FAQs

Are Duracell Plus AA batteries rechargeable?

No, Duracell Plus AA batteries are alkaline batteries and are designed for single use. Attempting to recharge them can lead to leakage or rupture.

What does 'up to 100% extra life' mean?

This claim refers to longevity performance compared to the Minimum Average Duration of the 2015 IEC AA Digital Camera test. It indicates that in specific conditions and devices, these batteries can last significantly longer than standard alkaline batteries. Actual results may vary based on your device and usage.

How long can I store unused Duracell Plus AA batteries?

Unused Duracell Plus AA batteries can stay powered for *up to 10 years* when stored in their original packaging under ambient (room temperature) conditions.

Are these batteries suitable for high-drain devices like digital cameras?

Yes, Duracell Plus AA batteries are an excellent choice for high-drain devices, including digital cameras, photoflash units, and motorized toys, offering reliable and extended performance.

How should I dispose of used batteries?

You should dispose of used batteries according to your local regulations for battery recycling. Many communities have collection points for proper disposal to prevent environmental harm.

Is the packaging environmentally friendly?

Yes, 98% of the paper-based packaging for Duracell Plus AA batteries is made from recycled materials, reflecting a commitment to sustainability.

Troubleshooting

Device isn't turning on after inserting new batteries.

Check that the batteries are inserted with the correct polarity (+ and -).
Ensure the battery compartment door is fully closed and secured.
Try a different set of new batteries to rule out a faulty battery or device issue.

Batteries seem to be draining quickly.

Verify that your device is suitable for alkaline batteries; some high-drain devices might benefit from specialized batteries (though Duracell Plus performs well in many).
Check for any settings on your device that might be increasing power consumption (e.g., high brightness, constant connectivity).
Ensure the device isn't being accidentally left on when not in use.

Concern about battery leakage.

Duracell Plus batteries feature a superior Nylon top closure designed to prevent leaks. If you notice any residue, carefully remove the battery (wearing gloves) and clean the compartment thoroughly with a dry cloth. Avoid leaving depleted batteries in devices for extended periods, as this can increase the risk of leakage.

Care

Storage: Store unused batteries in their original packaging in a cool, dry place at room temperature (ambient storage) to maximize their *10-year shelf life*.

Disposal: Always dispose of used batteries responsibly according to local regulations. Do not dispose of them in fire, as they may explode or leak.
