FAQs
Why is there no tea basket?
The absence of a basket allows the tea leaves to fully expand and unfurl in the hot water, leading to a more optimal extraction of flavor and aroma.
What is the capacity of this teapot?
The teapot has a capacity of 400ml, which is ideal for one standard serving of tea.
Is this teapot suitable for all types of tea?
Yes, it is suitable for all loose leaf teas. The basket-free design is particularly beneficial for whole leaf teas that require space to expand.
How do I clean the teapot?
The teapot is dishwasher safe. For best results, empty loose leaves before washing. It can also be hand-washed with warm, soapy water.
Can I put boiling water directly into the teapot?
Yes, the teapot is made of borosilicate glass, which is resistant to thermal shock, allowing you to pour boiling water directly into it.
Can I put this teapot on a stovetop?
No, this teapot is not designed for use on a stovetop. It is intended for brewing tea with hot water.
Troubleshooting
Tea leaves escape into the cup
While the basket-free design is for better taste, some very fine leaves might escape. Consider using a finer grade loose leaf tea, or use a small mesh strainer when pouring into your cup.
Cloudy glass after washing
Ensure all tea residue is rinsed away before placing in the dishwasher. If cloudiness persists, a vinegar and water soak for manual cleaning might help restore clarity.
Teapot feels too small
This teapot is specifically designed for single servings (400ml). For larger quantities, consider Brew Tea Co.'s larger teapot models.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: No setup is required. Simply add your preferred loose leaf tea directly into the teapot and pour hot water over it. Allow the tea to steep for the recommended time before pouring.
Compatibility: This teapot is compatible with all types of loose leaf tea. It is designed for use with hot water. Ensure the water temperature is appropriate for the type of tea being brewed.
Care: The teapot is made from borosilicate glass and is dishwasher safe. It is recommended to empty the tea leaves before washing.
