Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: For optimal stability, dig holes at least 0.5m deep for each post. Ensure the holes are wide enough to accommodate the post and allow for backfilling with soil or gravel for drainage. Tamp down the soil firmly around the post. For fencing, use appropriate fixings like wire, staples, or post clips, ensuring they are compatible with treated timber.
Compatibility: These posts are compatible with most standard fencing materials, including wire mesh, netting, and wooden or composite fence panels (ensure panel fixings are suitable for timber posts). They are ideal for use with soil, gravel, or concrete as a base.
Care: While pressure treated for longevity, regular inspection for any signs of damage or excessive wear is recommended. Keep the base of the posts clear of debris to promote airflow and prevent moisture buildup. Re-treating the exposed tops or any cut ends with a suitable wood preservative can further extend their lifespan.
