The RST Tuck and Window Pointer (1/2in) is designed for masons and DIYers looking to create durable, weatherproof, and aesthetically pleasing brick joints. Its primary benefit is enabling precise joint formation for enhanced brickwork. A potential limitation is its specific 1/2-inch width, requiring users to select the correct size for their project needs. Key features include a robust steel blade, a comfortable soft-touch handle, and a 6-inch blade length optimized for various bricklaying tasks.

Its primary use is to form weatherproof and aesthetically pleasing joints between bricks, often referred to as tuckpointing or finishing mortar lines.
The blade is made of durable steel.
The blade width is 1/2 inch (13mm) and the length is 6 inches (150mm).
Yes, while it requires practice, the comfortable handle and straightforward design make it accessible for beginners looking to improve their brickwork finish.
While primarily designed for brick mortar, it may be used for small concrete joint finishing tasks, though its effectiveness may vary.
Clean the blade with water and a brush after each use and allow it to dry thoroughly before storing.
Yes, RST offers this pointer in 3/8-inch (RTR104AS) and 5/8-inch (RTR104CS) blade widths, in addition to this 1/2-inch (RTR104BS) version.
Ensure consistent pressure and a steady hand. Clean any mortar buildup from the blade before continuing.
Clean the blade immediately after use. A light application of water or a non-stick spray (ensure it's safe for masonry) before starting can also help.
Ensure your hands are dry. The soft-touch handle is designed for grip, but extreme wetness or dryness can affect feel.
Setup: No specific setup is required. The tool is ready for use immediately upon unboxing.
Compatibility: This pointer is designed for use with standard mortar mixes. It is compatible with most brick types and sizes when forming traditional joints.
Care: To ensure longevity and optimal performance, clean the steel blade thoroughly after each use with a stiff brush and water to remove any residual mortar. Allow the tool to dry completely before storing. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the handle or blade.
