FAQs
Can I use this for species other than F1s?
While specifically formulated for F1s, the fishmeal and sweet attractants make it highly effective for skimmers, bream, and carp.
Is this groundbait safe for winter fishing?
Yes, it is designed specifically for colder months when fish are less active and need lower levels of food to stay interested.
How much water should I add to the 800g bag?
There is no set volume as it depends on your target consistency, but always add water gradually to avoid over-wetting.
Can I mix this with pellets?
Absolutely. Adding micro-pellets to the mix can help keep larger fish in the area longer.
Does the cloud effect work in deep water?
Yes, the cloud is designed to be highly visible, though it is most effective in shallow to mid-depth commercial swims.
Troubleshooting
Groundbait is too sticky and doesn't break down.
You have added too much water. Add a small amount of dry mix to the batch to soak up the excess moisture and re-sieve.
Groundbait falls off the feeder too quickly.
Increase the mixing time and use slightly more pressure when packing the feeder. Ensure the mix is not too dry.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- High attraction without overfeeding fish
- Excellent for winter and spring sessions
- Creates a visible, enticing cloud in the water
- Easy to prepare for various fishing methods
Cons
- Limited to 800g bags which may not suit long-term high-volume use
- Requires careful mixing to avoid becoming too sticky or too dry
- Best suited for commercial venues rather than wild or natural waters
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To mix the groundbait, start by adding a small amount of water to the dry mix and stirring thoroughly. Allow it to sit for 10-15 minutes so the ingredients can fully absorb the liquid before adjusting the consistency. For tighter balls, add a small splash of extra water; for a quicker breakdown, keep it slightly drier. Always store the unused product in an airtight bag or container away from direct sunlight and moisture to maintain the integrity of the attractants. It is fully compatible with other Dynamite Baits additives should you choose to experiment with scents, but it is highly effective on its own.
