Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before starting the installation, ensure the vehicle is on a stable lift or jack stands. Drain all engine oil completely before removing the oil pan and old pump. Always prime the new oil pump with a small amount of clean engine oil before installation to prevent a dry start. When installing, use a torque wrench to tighten bolts to the manufacturer’s specified values, as uneven torque can cause housing distortion. Since this part is critical to engine health, it is recommended to replace the oil filter and use fresh synthetic oil that meets the manufacturer's viscosity requirements. Regularly monitor oil pressure gauges or warning lights post-installation to confirm proper function.
