FAQs

How long does assembly typically take?

The cabinets are designed to click together in as little as 30 seconds, making assembly very fast. However, allow extra time for unpacking, preparing the area, and attaching any accessories.

Are handles included with the unit?

The product description indicates that the unit includes the cabinet, door, and soft-close hinges. Handles are typically sold separately to allow for customization.

What is the finish of the green unit?

The unit features a gorgeous Ultra Matt green finish.

Can the doors be opened from either side?

Yes, the doors can be hinged on the left or right side to suit your specific kitchen configuration.

What is the cabinet made of?

The cabinet is constructed from 18 mm MFC (Melamine Faced Chipboard) with an 8 mm back panel for rigidity.

Does this unit come pre-assembled?

No, the kitchen furniture is delivered flat-packed and requires assembly.

What does FIRA Gold certification mean?

FIRA Gold certification indicates that the doors and cabinets have met rigorous quality and performance standards set by the Furniture Industry Research Association.

Troubleshooting

Cabinet door not aligning correctly

Adjust the screws on the soft-close hinges. There are usually adjustment screws that allow for up/down, left/right, and in/out movement of the door.

Unit feels unstable after assembly

Ensure all 'click' fixings are fully engaged and that glue has dried completely if used. Verify that the adjustable legs on base units are level and securely positioned, or that wall mounting brackets are firmly attached.

Hinge not soft-closing

Check that the soft-close mechanism on the hinge is properly seated and not obstructed. Some hinges have adjustable tension; consult the specific hinge manufacturer's guide if available.

Damage during assembly

Carefully review the assembly instructions for the correct step. If components are damaged, contact customer support for replacement parts. Avoid forcing parts together.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Extremely fast and easy assembly process.
Durable construction with FIRA Gold certification.
Integrated soft-close hinges enhance user experience.
Flexible door orientation suits various kitchen layouts.
Timeless Shaker design complements many kitchen styles.

Cons

Requires self-assembly as it is delivered flat-packed.
Specific dimensions for corner unit placement need careful planning.
Accessories like handles are often sold separately and need to be chosen.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: The unit is delivered flat-packed. Assembly involves using glue (not specified, but typically wood glue) and clicking the components together. The process is designed to take as little as 30 seconds for a strong fixing. Wall units are installed flush to the wall using the included mounting brackets. Base units feature four adjustable legs for leveling.

Compatibility: The Shaker range is designed to work with a comprehensive set of accessories including end panels, fillers, plinths, and multi rails for cornice and pelmets. Doors can be configured for left or right-hand opening. Note that handles are typically sold separately and should be chosen to match your kitchen's style.

Care: To maintain the Ultra Matt finish, clean with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the surface. For the cabinet and hinges, a simple wipe-down with a damp cloth is usually sufficient.
