The Park Tool PP-1.2 Hydraulic Brake Piston Press is designed to help you service your disc brakes. This tool slides between the disc brake pads inside the caliper, allowing you to spread the pads and compress the hydraulic pistons. This is useful when replacing pads, aligning pads, or performing other service procedures. It expands the gap between the pads, making it easy to insert the disc when reinstalling a caliper or wheel. The dual-density handle provides a positive grip. The tapered end of the PP-1.2 is 25mm wide. It fits into most hydraulic disc brake caliper bodies, including Shimano XTR.
