Setup, Compatibility & Care
For optimal results, ensure your reel spool is correctly leveled when winding on the new line to prevent twisting. We recommend soaking the spool in warm water for a few minutes before filling, as this helps the line settle onto the reel spool more effectively. When tying rigs, always use a knot suitable for monofilament, such as the Palomar or Grinner knot, and ensure you lubricate the knot with water or saliva before tightening to prevent friction heat damage. To maintain longevity, store your reels in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight when not in use to prevent UV damage to the monofilament structure. Periodically check the first few meters of your line for signs of abrasion after a day of fishing, and trim the line back if any fraying is detected.
