FAQs

What are the dimensions of the baskets?

The top basket has a diameter of 30cm (12 inches), and the bottom basket has a diameter of 40cm (16 inches). The total height of the planter is 63.5cm (25 inches).

Does it come with soil?

No, the planter is supplied complete with coco liners but does not include soil. You will need to purchase potting soil separately.

How often should I replace the coco liners?

The lifespan of coco liners can vary depending on environmental conditions and moisture levels. It is generally recommended to inspect them at least once a year and replace them if they show signs of significant wear or degradation.

Can this planter be used indoors?

While durable for outdoor use, it is designed with outdoor conditions in mind. If used indoors, ensure proper drainage collection to protect your flooring and be aware of potential water staining.

What type of plants are best suited for this planter?

It is ideal for seasonal flowers, trailing plants, cascading greenery, and smaller herbs. Consider plants with similar watering needs for both baskets.

Is assembly required?

Yes, the Gr8 Garden 2 Tier Metal Flower Fountain Planter requires assembly. Instructions are typically included with the product.

What is the material of the planter?

The planter is constructed from strong steel strip and rod for durability and stability.

Troubleshooting

Planter is wobbly

Ensure all assembly screws are tightened securely and that the planter is placed on a level surface.

Plants in the top basket seem dry

Water thoroughly, allowing water to naturally drain to the lower basket. Consider adjusting watering frequency based on plant needs and weather conditions.

Coco liner is deteriorating quickly

Ensure the liner is not constantly saturated. Good drainage is key. Replace liners annually or as needed for optimal plant health.

Rust spots appearing on the frame

Light rust can often be removed with a soft brush and a mild metal polish. For significant rust, consider applying a rust-inhibiting sealant suitable for outdoor metal.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: The planter typically requires assembly. Ensure all parts are present before beginning. Follow the provided instructions carefully to connect the frame and secure the baskets. Place on a level surface for stability.

Compatibility: This planter is designed for use with most common potting soils and seasonal plants, flowers, and trailing greenery. It is compatible with outdoor garden, patio, and decking environments. Ensure adequate sunlight and water are available for the plants chosen.

Care: To maintain the planter's appearance and longevity, clean the metal frame periodically with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
