Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before using your new casserole dish for the first time, wash it in warm, soapy water and dry it thoroughly. While the enamelled surface is robust, it is recommended to use silicone or wooden utensils to maintain the interior finish and prevent scratching.
For cleaning, allow the pot to cool down completely before washing to avoid thermal shock, which can cause the enamel to crack. Hand wash the item using a soft sponge and mild detergent; avoid steel wool or abrasive scrubbing pads. Even though the interior is enamelled, always ensure the dish is completely dry before storing it to maintain its condition. When placing the pot on a glass or ceramic hob, lift it rather than sliding it to avoid scratching the surface of your cooktop.
