Product Information

Full details

The DJI RS Enhanced Intelligent Tracking Module is designed for solo filmmakers and creators who need smooth, automated subject tracking with their compatible DJI RS gimbals. It offers precise subject positioning and controlled movement for dynamic shots without a dedicated camera operator. A key caveat is that the Adapter Mount occupies the gimbal's RSS port, limiting camera control cable usage.

FAQs

What gimbals are compatible with the RS Enhanced Intelligent Tracking Module?

It is directly compatible with the DJI RS 5 and RS 4 Mini. With the included Adapter Mount, it is also compatible with the DJI RS 4 Pro and DJI RS 4.

Can I use this module and a camera control cable simultaneously?

If you are using the Adapter Mount for RS 4 Pro or RS 4, the RSS port is occupied, and you cannot use a camera control cable through that port. For RS 5 and RS 4 Mini, check your specific gimbal configuration.

What is the maximum tracking distance?

The module supports tracking subjects from 0.5 meters up to 10 meters away.

What types of subjects can it track?

It is designed to track a single recognizable subject, such as a person, vehicle, cat, or dog.

Do I need to update my gimbal's firmware?

Yes, firmware updates to the latest version are required for the module to function correctly with the DJI RS 4, RS 4 Pro, and RS 4 Mini.

Can I see the tracking view on the gimbal's screen?

No, the tracking view cannot be displayed on the touchscreen of the compatible gimbals.

How is the module powered?

The module is powered by the gimbal itself, consuming approximately 1W of power.

What are the dimensions and weight of the module?

The module weighs approximately 19g and has dimensions of 35.9 × 17.5 × 38.5 mm.

Troubleshooting

Module not recognized by gimbal

Ensure the gimbal firmware is updated to the latest version. Check that the module is securely attached, and if using the Adapter Mount, ensure it is properly seated.

Tracking is inconsistent or loses subject

Verify the environment has sufficient lighting (> 20 lux). Ensure there are no visually similar objects interfering with the subject. Try reframing the subject or restarting the tracking.

Gesture controls not working

Ensure gestures are enabled in the gimbal settings. Perform gestures clearly within the camera's view and within the optimal tracking distance (0.5-10m).

Camera control cable not working

If using the Adapter Mount, this is expected as the RSS port is occupied. Use alternative camera control methods if available or remove the adapter if RSS control is essential.
