Troubleshooting

New mattress has an initial odour.

This is often a temporary 'new product' smell due to packaging. Ensure the room is well-ventilated by opening windows. The odour should dissipate within a few days.

Unevenness or dipping in the mattress.

Ensure the mattress is being rotated regularly (head to toe) as recommended. Check that the divan base is on a level surface and has not sagged. If the issue persists and the mattress is relatively new, contact the manufacturer.

Difficulty moving on the mattress.

This may be due to the mattress's support system adjusting to your body. Ensure you are rotating the mattress. If the issue is significant, consider if the medium firmness is the correct choice for your needs.

Divan base seems unstable.

Check that all legs (if applicable) are securely attached and that the base is on an even floor. If the base is delivered pre-assembled, contact customer service if you suspect a manufacturing defect.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: The Silentnight 1000 Pocket Divan Set arrives with the base and mattress separately. Simply position the mattress onto the divan base. No assembly of the base itself is typically required as it comes pre-assembled.

Compatibility: This set is designed to be used with a standard UK mattress size. Ensure any headboard purchased separately is compatible with the divan base's fixing points.

Care:

Mattress Rotation: For optimal performance and longevity, it is recommended to rotate the mattress regularly (e.g., monthly) by turning it from head to toe. This helps to ensure even wear.
Cleaning: To clean the mattress, use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the fabric and filling. For spills, blot immediately with a clean cloth.
Base: Wipe the divan base with a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Avoid excessive moisture.
