Can this be played with fewer than 8 players?

Yes, the game is designed to be flexible and supports anywhere from 2 to 8 players.

What is the purpose of the train markers?

The train markers are used to signify which player's train is open or to mark the 'Mexican Train' line during gameplay.

Troubleshooting

Tiles are sliding or moving during play

Ensure the game is played on a stable, flat surface; using a felt or fabric tablecloth can provide extra friction to keep tiles in place.

Difficulty identifying dot colors in poor lighting

Ensure the play area is well-lit; the high-contrast colors are designed to be distinct under standard overhead lighting.

Pros and Cons

Pros

High-contrast, large colored dots are easy to read
Durable tile material stands up to repeated use
Complete set includes all necessary accessories for Mexican Train
Suitable for a wide range of player counts

Cons

Requires a large surface area due to the 91-tile count
Storage box may take up significant shelf space
Set-up can be time-consuming for beginners

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up the game, place the central station in the middle of the table and distribute the 91 tiles face down for shuffling. Each player draws their starting hand according to the rules of Mexican Train. Care for your tiles is simple: wipe them down with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth if they accumulate dust or oils from frequent handling. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, as these may fade the vibrant colors of the dots. Store all components back in the provided packaging to prevent the loss of individual tiles, as the game requires the complete set of 91 to function as intended.
