This kit is primarily designed for metal automotive bodywork; specialized plastic-specific fillers are recommended for flexible bumpers.
Always refer to the specific technical label on the container, as ratios can vary slightly based on ambient temperature and humidity.
No, you must prime the filler and stopper with an automotive-grade primer before applying color coats to ensure proper adhesion and leveling.
Curing times depend on ambient temperature, but generally, the filler can be sanded within 20-30 minutes at room temperature.
Yes, standard hardener is typically included for both components to ensure they cure correctly.
Adjust the amount of hardener used. Too much hardener speeds up the process, while too little slows it down; use a strict ratio based on the manufacturer's temperature guidelines.
The mixture ratio was likely incorrect or not blended thoroughly; remove the uncured material, clean the surface, and re-apply with proper mixing.
Ensure the panel surface is properly sanded with 80-grit paper to provide 'tooth' and is fully degreased before application.
Before application, ensure the substrate is clean, dry, and free of rust or oil. Use a degreaser to prepare the surface. Mix the filler with the appropriate hardener on a non-porous mixing board using a plastic or steel spreader. Always work in a well-ventilated area and wear appropriate respiratory protection. After use, ensure lids are tightly sealed to prevent the product from drying out. Store the kit in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain the integrity of the chemical properties.
