A flexible alternative to traditional copper tubing, this barrier pipe from Polypipe offers superior flexibility and strength, making it ideal for both soft and hard water applications. Its polybutylene material ensures good cabling ability and ease of installation through joists. The pipe features a five-layer construction with an oxygen diffusion barrier to prevent air ingress into the system. This pipe is suitable for underfloor heating, radiator central heating systems, and domestic hot and cold water services. It connects easily to copper pipe using push-fit fittings, but is not suitable for gas transportation. The PolyPlumb system is a robust and reliable push-fit plumbing solution with a one-step jointing process and a high-performance stainless steel grab ring for joint integrity. It is demountable by disassembly only. Polypipe recommends using metal or plastic pipe stiffeners with this system.
