Product Information
Full details
This Showerdrape Malaga Toilet Seat is designed for homeowners seeking a modern, safe, and easy-to-maintain upgrade for their bathroom. Its key benefit is the 'soft-close' mechanism, preventing loud slams and finger-pinching accidents. A minor caveat is that the contemporary square shape might not fit all existing toilet bowl styles without careful measurement.

FAQs
What does 'Soft Close' mean for a toilet seat?
'Soft Close' means the toilet seat and lid are designed to descend slowly and quietly, preventing them from slamming shut. This reduces noise and minimizes the risk of injury, especially for children.
How do I clean the Malaga toilet seat?
Clean the seat using a soft, damp cloth with mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals. The quick-release feature allows you to detach the seat for more thorough cleaning.
What is 'Top-Fix Installation'?
Top-Fix installation means the seat's hinges are secured from the top of the toilet bowl, rather than from underneath. This simplifies the installation process and makes it easier to remove the seat for cleaning.
What material is the toilet seat made of?
The seat is made from Polypropylene, a durable, easy-to-clean, and hygienic plastic material that is resistant to common cleaning chemicals.
What is the warranty period for this toilet seat?
The Showerdrape Malaga Toilet Seat comes with a 1-year guarantee.
Will this seat fit any toilet bowl?
While the adjustable hinges offer some flexibility (110-170mm), the seat has a specific contemporary square shape. It is best suited for modern toilet bowls with a matching profile. We recommend measuring your toilet bowl dimensions (Width: 36 CM, Depth: 44 CM) and checking the hinge fitting range before purchasing to ensure compatibility.
Troubleshooting
Seat slams shut unexpectedly.
Ensure the hinges are correctly installed and the seat is properly aligned. If the issue persists, the soft-close mechanism may be faulty; contact customer support.
Seat is wobbly or loose.
Check that the top-fix bolts are tightened securely. Ensure the hinges are correctly seated in their fixings. Re-tighten if necessary, but avoid overtightening which could damage the ceramic.
Seat does not fit the toilet bowl properly.
Verify the toilet bowl shape and dimensions against the seat's specifications (Width: 36 CM, Depth: 44 CM) and hinge adjustment range (110-170mm). The square design may not suit all bowl shapes.
Difficulty removing seat for cleaning.
Locate the quick-release buttons or levers on the hinges. Press or lift them according to the mechanism's design to detach the seat. Refer to the setup section if unsure.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Unpack: Ensure all parts, including the seat, lid, hinges, and fixings, are present.
- Position: Place the toilet seat onto the toilet bowl to check alignment.
- Install Hinges: Insert the top-fix bolts through the pre-drilled holes in the toilet pan. Secure the hinges from underneath using the provided fittings, ensuring they are snug but not overtightened.
- Adjust: Utilize the adjustable chrome hinges (110-170mm range) to ensure the seat sits evenly on the bowl.
- Attach Seat: Clip the seat and lid onto the secured hinges.
Compatibility:
- Shape: Designed for modern, square-profiled toilet bowls. Measure your existing bowl (depth and width) and check the seat dimensions (Width: 36 CM, Depth: 44 CM) to confirm fit. The hinge adjustment range (110-170mm) aids compatibility with varying bolt hole spacings.
- Material: The seat is made from polypropylene, a common and robust plastic.
Care:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth with mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or solvents, as these can damage the material and finish.
- Hinges: Periodically check that the hinge fittings remain secure. The quick-release function allows for easy removal for more thorough cleaning of both the seat and the toilet rim.
- Anti-Bacterial: Wipe clean regularly to maintain the effectiveness of the anti-bacterial properties.
