The Stanley 62 mm (2 1/2-inch) Decor Paint Brush is a versatile tool designed for DIY enthusiasts and homeowners tackling small to medium-sized painting projects. It offers a reliable balance of durability and comfort, making it an excellent choice for applying various types of paint to trim, furniture, and smaller surfaces. A primary caveat to keep in mind is that, as a general-purpose black bristle brush, it is most effective with oil-based coatings and may require extra care to prevent bristle shedding during heavy-duty use.

Yes, it can be used with water-based paints, though it is specifically optimized for consistent performance with oil-based materials.
Always store the brush hanging from its hole in the handle or laid flat to prevent the bristles from bending under their own weight.
Polypropylene is lightweight and durable, providing a comfortable grip that helps reduce hand strain during long painting sessions.
Yes, the ferrule is treated to resist corrosion, which is particularly important when using water-based paints or cleaning with liquids.
It is recommended to gently rinse the brush and flick out any loose factory dust or debris before you begin painting to ensure a clean finish.
Ensure you have thoroughly combed out any loose bristles before the first use. If shedding persists, avoid scrubbing the brush against rough surfaces.
The brush may have residual paint left near the ferrule. Soak the base of the bristles in the appropriate cleaning solvent for 10 minutes and comb through with a brush cleaner.
Before initial use, flick the bristles to remove any dust or loose fibers from the manufacturing process. This brush is compatible with most standard paints, but it performs best with oil-based formulas.
