FAQs
Is the lion statue made of real stone?
No, it is crafted from a durable material designed to have a stone-like look and feel while being more manageable than actual carved rock.
Can this be kept outside all year round?
Yes, it is weather-resistant; however, providing protection or moving it to a sheltered area during extreme winter weather can help extend its lifespan.
Is the statue heavy?
The statue has a solid construction, making it substantial and heavy enough to remain stable in outdoor winds.
Can I paint this statue?
The statue comes with a pre-applied aged-effect finish; painting it may compromise the intended aesthetic and weather-resistant properties.
Is this safe for indoor use?
Yes, it can be used indoors, though it is recommended to place felt pads under the paws to prevent scratching hardwood or tiled floors.
Troubleshooting
Visible dirt or debris in crevices
Use a soft-bristled brush or a dry microfiber cloth to gently dislodge dirt from the textured areas.
Statue feels unstable
Check the mounting surface for unevenness and use a small stone or shim under the paw that lacks full contact.
Finish looks dull after rain
Once dry, wipe the statue with a clean, slightly damp cloth to remove any mineral deposits left behind by rainwater.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- High-quality detailed sculpting
- Weather-resistant for outdoor longevity
- Realistic matte stone appearance
- Versatile decor for indoor or outdoor use
Cons
- Heavy weight may be difficult to relocate frequently
- Material is solid and non-adjustable
- Surface is textured and requires specific cleaning care
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To set up your statue, ensure the surface is level and firm to prevent tilting or accidental tipping. Since the statue is heavy, place it exactly where you intend to display it to avoid unnecessary lifting.
Compatibility: This statue is compatible with various garden styles including classic, Mediterranean, and modern minimalist themes. It works best on solid ground, stone paving, or thick wooden decking.
Care Instructions:
- To clean, wipe the surface gently with a soft, damp cloth.
- Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or power washers as these can degrade the aged-effect finish.
- During extreme winter conditions with heavy snow or ice, you may cover the statue or move it to a sheltered area to preserve the finish for years to come.
