Setup, Compatibility & Care
Proper setup begins with a perfectly level, solid foundation such as concrete, paving slabs, or a timber frame base. Because the structure is heavy, ensure your ground is prepared to handle the weight before beginning assembly. It is recommended to have at least two, preferably three, people available to move and secure the timber components.
For care, the timber should be treated with a quality wood preservative upon arrival and periodically thereafter to prevent rot and weather damage. Inspect the connections annually to ensure that the heavy-duty framework remains tight and secure. Keep surrounding vegetation trimmed to maintain airflow around the base of the posts.
