Yes, you can operate the light while it is connected to a power source, though it is best practice to keep it charged between sessions.
The VL81 has a color temperature range of 3200K to 5500K.
No, the light features a 1/4"-20 thread, which allows it to attach to most standard tripods, but the tripod must be purchased separately.
You can connect multiple units using the cold shoe mounts, though you should be mindful of the total weight on your primary camera mount.
The device uses a USB Type-C charging port.
Ensure the light is charged using the USB-C port and check that the rear power dial is clicked into the 'on' position.
This may indicate a low battery level. Connect the device to a power source and allow it to charge fully.
Ensure the accessory is fully slid into the mount and that any locking mechanism on the accessory itself is tightened properly.
To set up your light, simply slide the bottom cold shoe mount into your camera's hot/cold shoe or screw it onto a standard 1/4"-20 tripod mount. Use the rear dials to turn the light on and adjust intensity. To charge, connect a USB-C cable to the side port. For care, keep the unit away from moisture to protect the internal battery. If you plan to store the light for long periods, ensure the battery is charged periodically to maintain cell health. The three extra cold shoe mounts are designed for lightweight accessories, so avoid overloading them with heavy gear to prevent strain on the housing.
