FAQs

What is the auto polarization feature?

The auto polarization feature automatically detects the polarity (positive or negative) of the voltage or current being measured, simplifying the process and preventing incorrect readings.

What types of measurements can this multimeter perform?

This multimeter can measure AC/DC circuits, voltage, and current.

How do I measure voltage?

Connect the black probe to the COM port and the red probe to the VΩmA port. Select the appropriate voltage range (AC or DC) and touch the probes to the circuit.

How do I measure current?

Connect the black probe to the COM port and the red probe to the VΩmA port. Select the appropriate current range and connect the multimeter in series with the circuit.

What should I do if the reading is fluctuating?

Ensure a stable connection with the probes. If the fluctuations persist, there may be an issue with the circuit or the multimeter's internal components.

How often should I replace the batteries?

Replace the batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the LCD screen.

Can I use this multimeter for high-voltage applications?

No. The Dekton Digital Electrical Multimeter is designed for general electrical use and is not suitable for high-voltage industrial applications.

Troubleshooting

Multimeter not turning on.

Check the battery and replace if necessary. Ensure the battery is correctly installed.

Inaccurate readings.

Check the function selector is set to the correct measurement type. Ensure the test leads are properly connected and not damaged. Check the batteries.

LCD screen is blank.

Check the battery and replace if necessary. Make sure the multimeter is powered on.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Easy to use with auto polarization.
  • Clear readings on the large LCD.
  • Versatile for measuring AC/DC circuits.
  • Durable and reliable for frequent use.

Cons

  • May not be suitable for highly specialized industrial applications.
  • Limited advanced features compared to professional-grade multimeters.
  • Requires battery for operation.
