This product is made of standard high-quality electrical plastic; please consult your local building regulations if specific fire-rating is required for your installation.
No, this is a 1-gang (single) pattress box and will not fit double-gang (2-gang) accessories.
The box typically includes the housing itself; you should use appropriate wall screws depending on your specific wall substrate (masonry vs. timber).
This pattress box is intended for internal electrical installations and is not weather-sealed for outdoor environments.
It refers to the internal clearance of the box from the wall surface, which is standard for most modern flat-profile light switches and socket outlets.
Check that the faceplate screws are fully tightened into the pattress box lugs and ensure the box itself is securely anchored to the wall.
The 25mm depth is shallow; ensure you are not using oversized terminal blocks or excess cabling that may prevent the faceplate from sitting flush.
For installation, ensure the power is isolated at the mains before beginning. Use the pre-drilled points for mounting screws to secure the box to the wall surface or stud work. This box is fully compatible with standard UK 1-gang electrical accessories. Maintenance is minimal; simply wipe with a dry, lint-free cloth if dust accumulates during installation. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, as these may degrade the high-quality plastic over time.
