Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Prepare Surface: Ensure the surface you are attaching the legs to is flat and strong enough to support the weight. For wood, pre-drilling pilot holes can prevent splitting.
- Position Legs: Place the hairpin legs in your desired position on the underside of your furniture piece.
- Attach Legs: Use the provided screws to secure the legs through the pre-drilled holes in the mounting bracket. Ensure screws are snug but do not overtighten.
- Install Protectors: Attach the included rubber protectors to the bottom of each leg to prevent scratching floors.
Compatibility:
These legs are compatible with a wide range of materials including solid wood, reclaimed wood, tabletops, benches, and existing furniture carcasses. They are suitable for DIY furniture projects, upcycling, and refurbishing existing pieces.
Care:
- Indoor Use: Clean with a soft, damp cloth. For deeper cleaning, use mild soap and water. Dry thoroughly.
- Outdoor Use: While the powder coating offers protection, for prolonged outdoor exposure, it is recommended to apply a clear sealant to the raw steel portion of the legs to prevent rust. Regularly wipe clean and dry.
- Maintenance: Periodically check screws for tightness.
