The BGS Twist Socket Set (5268) is a specialized tool kit engineered for mechanics and DIY enthusiasts who frequently encounter damaged, rusted, or rounded-off nuts and bolts. Its core benefit lies in the innovative spiral profile design that grips compromised fasteners securely to allow for safe removal without needing additional welding or drilling. While exceptionally effective for heavy-duty extraction, this set is exclusively designed for removing damaged fasteners and is not intended for standard assembly or high-torque tightening applications.

It is not recommended. These sockets are designed to bite into metal, which will leave marks on undamaged fasteners.
While made of durable chrome molybdenum, they are primarily designed for manual extraction. Use caution if using with impact tools.
The set includes 1/2" drive sizes (22, 24, 27, 32 mm) and 3/4" drive sizes (36, 41 mm).
BGS offers single sizes for purchase if a specific socket needs to be replaced due to heavy wear.
No, this set covers larger sizes (22-41 mm). For smaller fasteners, you should look at the BGS 5266 or 20210 sets.
Ensure you are using the smallest socket size possible that can still fit over the bolt head. Apply steady downward pressure while turning.
Use a hammer to gently tap the side of the socket while holding the fastener, or use a punch tool through the back of the socket to eject the debris.
Setup & Compatibility:
This set is designed for use with standard ratchets, breaker bars, and torque tools featuring 1/2" or 3/4" drives. Ensure you select the closest possible socket size to the damaged fastener; if the fit is too loose, the spiral profile may slip rather than gripping.
